Sort of like the X-Com one, except probably less funny and true and more of me complaining.
Since I have satellite, I can't reliably play online, hence most of me complaining, as I mostly play the AI. The only time I enjoy DoW2 is on custom maps, where the resource points are shoved away so the AI can't get to them without coming through a choke point that you don't have to hike to get to.
Wait, why does satellite internet make you unable to play online?
And anyway, yes, the AI is awful. Strategy games are not particularly famed for their quality AI players, at all.

That, and, with the combat system as it is, ie, managing your firefights and retreating when necessary, we see DOW 2 has designed a game where Space Marines, the most durable, damage resistant troop choice in the game, are by far, the most suited for strategic
retreat.

Latency. Satellite connections have to beam into space and back, so although it's "fast," it's slow to be fast, so it can't keep up with anything like games or video streams, etc.
That sounds way less awesome than what I remember of the game but now that you mention it, Company of Heroes and Dawn of War may have great combat, but I never ever get to freaking experience it unless I give the enemy these magic troop dispensers so they stop ignoring the football sized holes in their body caused by my units.

I expected a good or at least fun campaign. It was fun for the first 10 maps, and then it's the same thing over and over and over and over again. I'm afraid the first DoW was 8 times better.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm featuring a little part of the deviant community ! Asked few days ago, and requested everyone to show me their 3 favourites photos in their own gallery, and the 3 most popular!
So, here is it.
Follow me if you want to be in the next feature, I'll create a new poll for it soon!
