Necron Reclamator

Necron Reclamators are often Bronze or Silver level Necron Lords that border between insanity and automation. After eons of combat, and hundreds of deaths, some Lords can no longer recall enough of themselves to operate efficiently. Rather: they go mad, and become incapable of maintaining a position of command. (Gold and especially Platinum level Lords so rarely see combat, especially any that could result in their destruction, that they are rarely converted.)

When this occurs, the Necron Lord is repurposed as a Reclamator. Reclamators are designed for heavy assaults with little chance of survival. They are outfitted with a miniaturized power matrix that fires a gauss flux arc, comparable to a miniaturized particle-accelerated whip. In addition, they are often given passively-enabled wargear that grants constant benefits, as the Lord cannot be relied upon to use the benefits of wargear with any degree of productivity. Its other hand is replaced with a fractal edged claw that doubles as an atmospheric repurposer, which allows it to hurl lightning in the same way as a Staff of Light.

The goal in outfitting a Lord as a Reclamator is the hope that its continued destruction will rid the Lord of the remnants of its personality, purging what remains of its former life. This, effectively, will stabilize the Lord and allow it to be reclaimed back into service as a field marshall.
